About the business
About CentralHeatPlumb
CentralHeatPlumb is a family-run plumbing and bathroom business serving customers across Greater Manchester.
The business was started to provide a more straightforward way of arranging plumbing repairs, installations and bathroom projects, with clear communication from the initial enquiry through to completion.
For bathroom projects, trusted subcontractors and specialist trades can be coordinated through one point of contact. This helps customers avoid the difficult process of arranging several separate trades and managing each stage themselves.
The aim is to keep every project organised, clearly explained and easier to manage.
Making the difficult part simple.
How the business works
What you can expect
How the business started
CentralHeatPlumb was started to offer a more personal and organised alternative to large call centres and the difficulty of arranging several separate trades. The aim was to give customers a more direct line of communication — from the initial enquiry through to the completed work — without the back-and-forth that often comes with coordinating multiple contractors independently.
A family-run approach
Enquiries, quotations and jobs are managed with direct communication rather than through a call centre or automated system. Customers are kept informed throughout the work and can ask questions at any stage. There is a real person at the other end, not a queue.
Plumbing repairs and installations
The business handles individual call-outs, fault finding, repairs, replacements and planned plumbing work. This ranges from leaking taps and concealed cistern repairs to full pipework alterations, shower replacements and outside tap installations. For urgent problems, out-of-hours cover is available subject to location and availability.
Managed bathroom projects
Bathroom projects can be managed from the initial survey through to completion. This includes the site survey, written quotation, project programme, coordination of trades, installation and final checks. Customers do not need to arrange each trade separately or manage the sequence of work themselves.
Trusted subcontractors and specialist trades
Some work — particularly tiling, electrics and plastering in bathroom projects — is carried out by trusted subcontractors and specialist trades rather than directly employed staff. This is how most smaller building and plumbing businesses operate. Customers are always informed of who is attending and what they will be doing. The quality and programme of the work remains coordinated and managed through one point of contact.
One point of contact
Customers have one main place to discuss quotations, schedules, project stages and questions. This applies whether the work is a single plumbing call-out or a complete bathroom installation across multiple rooms. Requests, photos and follow-up messages can be sent through CHP Hub, by phone or by WhatsApp.
Clear quotations
Agreed work is set out in writing before it begins. Where the scope changes — because of something unexpected found during the work, or a customer-requested variation — this is discussed and agreed before proceeding where possible. Customers are not presented with a significantly different bill at the end.
Aftercare
Customers can contact the business if they have concerns relating to completed workmanship. The aim is to resolve genuine concerns without unnecessary difficulty. This is not a formal guarantee with a specific duration — it is a practical commitment to dealing with issues if they arise.
Online portal
CHP Hub — submit and track your request
CHP Hub is the online portal for sending job details, uploading photos and tracking the response. It means customers can share the information we need at a time that suits them, rather than trying to describe the job over the phone. Jobs are tracked through to quotation and booking.
